Costa Restaurant Santa Barbara

This landmark beachfront hotel first opened with great fanfare in 1931, but lost much of its character over time. Today, guests can marvel at its grand staircase, updated porte cochère and bathrooms, and hints of Spanish Revival and Moorish influence throughout the guest rooms.

Lovely like limoncello

Inspired by Italy’s Amalfi Coast, home of the world’s best limoncello, our design for Costa Restaurant at the Mar Monte Hotel brings a taste of the Mediterranean to the California coast. Playfully scalloped, vibrant custom yellow chairs and lemon-patterned walls balance the rustic feel of the intimate dining room. Natural textures and oceanic shades of blue punctuate the bar-lounge area, refreshing its age-old presence with an upscale “cool” that complements its patio views of the Pacific.
