Hotel Citrine Palo Alto

This landmark beachfront hotel first opened with great fanfare in 1931, but lost much of its character over time. Today, guests can marvel at its grand staircase, updated porte cochère and bathrooms, and hints of Spanish Revival and Moorish influence throughout the guest rooms.

California cool with a conscience

From the moment you set foot in the warm and welcoming Hotel Citrine, you know you’re somewhere special. Part of a newly-built hotel campus, this inviting space makes for an ideal home away from home. Eco and socially conscious choices were made throughout the design process, from the recycled vinyl wallpaper and paper stone countertops to the responsibly-harvested wood fittings, eucalyptus sheets, and cork and bamboo flooring. Shared pantries on each floor also help cut down on waste while promoting a friendly atmosphere between guests. California casual never looked this cool.
